More Than Just a Game
The genesis of ATHLEAD began with Siddharth Narang, who envisioned a program that could make sports about more than simply winning games. Arjuna Hingorani soon joined him, and together, these two young high school basketball athletes brought that vision to life—using the power of sports to create opportunities for children who may not otherwise have access to them.
For under-resourced children, sports can be much more than a game. It can be a place to build confidence, resilience, discipline, and mental strength; to learn how to work with others, overcome setbacks, and keep going when things get difficult. Most importantly, it can help children discover their own potential and believe in what they can achieve, both on and off the court.
The belief led Siddharth and Arjuna to MSWC Asha Kiran Street Children, a shelter home for children in Mumbai. They began volunteering their time, helping coach the children as they prepared for basketball, chess, and carrom tournaments.
As they spent more time with the children, they saw how much difference consistent coaching, encouragement, and support could make.
So they decided to do more.
ATHLEAD has committed to supporting Asha Kiran by selling sports jerseys designed by Arjuna Hingorani. The proceeds will directly fund a dedicated sports teacher at Asha Kiran twice a week for the next two years.
Every jersey purchased helps give these children regular coaching, encouragement, confidence, and the opportunity to aim higher.
Your purchase isn't just a jersey. It's a chance for a child to play, grow, build confidence, and discover what they can achieve.
Buy a jersey. Help put sports within reach. Help a child play for more.
