ATHLEAD began with Siddharth Narang, who envisioned a program that could make sports about more than simply winning games. Arjuna Hingorani soon joined him in bringing that vision to life and together, the two high school basketball athletes set out to use the power of sports to create meaningful opportunities for children who may not otherwise have access to them.

For children from under-resourced communities, sports can be much more than games. They provide an opportunity to build confidence, resilience, discipline, teamwork, and mental strength. The coaching enables the children to learn how to overcome setbacks and persevere through challenges, and allows them to discover their potential both on and off the court.

This vision led Siddharth and Arjuna to MSWC Asha Kiran Street Children, a shelter home for children in Mumbai. They began volunteering their time, supporting the children as they trained for basketball, chess and carrom tournaments.

Through this experience, they saw the difference that consistent coaching, encouragement and access to sports could make.

ATHLEAD is now supporting Asha Kiran through the sale of sports jerseys designed by Arjuna Hingorani. Proceeds from jersey sales will fund a dedicated sports teacher at Asha Kiran twice a week, providing children with regular coaching and opportunities to develop their skills.

Every jersey purchased helps make this possible. It gives children the opportunity to play, grow, build confidence, and discover what they can achieve.

Your purchase is more than a jersey. It helps make sport more accessible and creates opportunities that extend far beyond the court.

Buy a jersey. Help put sports within reach. Support a child play for more.
